If your work depends on different circumstances (problems with the electrical supply network in your apartment/house/block of flats, some urgent assistance your sister may need, or other acts of Providence), you are most likely lazy. A true leader will not be caught unawares: he will reshape his entire schedule, and manage to do the job. If you try to do everything, but fail to, reconsider your plans: maybe your tasks are not feasible within the scheduled timeframe.
We talk about all this, because you need to be very careful with your plans, working in the MLM industry. Here there are no bosses, offices, corporate dress codes, deadlines, etc... How tempting it is to sleep late, put off solutions of important problems until some more convenient moment comes. Mind you, it is the beginning of the end! The MLM industry provides great opportunities and good rewards. And it definitely needs responsible, self-disciplined, and most importantly, consistent people. If you are a slowpoke, and if you are aware of this feature of yours, do not worry! Just make a comfortable schedule for yourself!
Once again, there is no one who would constantly reprimand you for missed deadlines. In addition, it is important to understand the fundamental difference between a goal and tasks. Many people think that they are one and the same thing. No, they are not. A goal means something global and strategic, for example, "increase your income twice in 6 months."
Now you need to identify the milestones of the work, scheduling the increase of your income each month. You can probably increase your income twice on the spot, but it is extremely hard. It is much easier to do it gradually, within certain limits of time. Later, it is necessary to define the specific tasks you must perform to achieve both intermediate objectives and global goals. In this case, your tasks may be: delivering seminars, meetings, conferences, trainings, webinars, etc. ... For each event you should fix the size of your potential income, that is, the number of new partners you will be able to attract at a particular meeting. Remember, your tasks should contain the thresholds which when put together will help you achieve the ultimate goal. Always try to achieve this minimum, even if at the last meeting you managed to exceed the target three times.
It is only the long-term planning that will help you become disciplined and honest at least to yourself. The "seize the day" approach works well when applied to short-term problem solution, but cannot be used for making long-term plans and achieving really important goals. Remember: your time is precious, and wasting it is the luxury you should not allow yourself.
